Japan and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar signed the bilateral document to start the JCM

On September 16th, 2015, Mr. Tateshi Higuchi, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Dr. Thet Thet Zin, Deputy Minister for Environmental Conservation and Forestry of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, signed the bilateral document of the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) in Nay Pyi Taw, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. As a result, the JCM will be officially launched in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, becoming the fifteenth country after Mongolia, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Kenya, Maldives, Viet Nam, Lao PDR, Indonesia, Costa Rica, Palau, Cambodia, Mexico, Saudi Arabia and Chile.
