Japan and the Republic of Senegal signed the Memorandum of Cooperation for establishing the JCM

On August 25th, 2022, Mr. IZAWA Osamu, Ambassador of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Senegal and H.E. Adbou Karim SALL, Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development of the Republic of Senegal signed the Memorandum of Cooperation on the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) in the Republic of Senegal. As a result, the JCM will be officially launched in the Republic of Senegal, becoming the eighteenth partner country after Mongolia, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Kenya, Maldives, Viet Nam, Lao PDR, Indonesia, Costa Rica, Palau, Cambodia, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Chile, Myanmar, Thailand, and the Philippines.
