Japan and Sri Lanka signed the Memorandum of Cooperation for establishing the JCM

On October 10th, 2022, Mr. Hideaki MIZUKOSHI, Ambassador of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and Dr. Anil Jasinghe, Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka signed the Memorandum of Cooperation on the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) in Sri Lanka. As a result, the JCM will be officially launched in Sri Lanka becoming the twenty-third partner country after Mongolia, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Kenya, Maldives, Viet Nam, Lao PDR, Indonesia, Costa Rica, Palau, Cambodia, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Chile, Myanmar, Thailand, the Philippines, Senegal, Tunisia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, and Georgia.
