Japan and the Republic of Kenya signed the bilateral document to start JCM

June 12, 2013, H.E. Mr. Toshihisa Takata, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Kenya and Mr. Ali D. Mohamed, Permanent Secretary – Environment, Ministry of Environment, Water and Natural Resources, signed the bilateral document of the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) in the presence of Prof. Judi W. Wakhungu, Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Water and Natural Resources, in Nairobi, Kenya. As a result, the JCM will be officially launched in the Republic of Kenya, the fourth country after Mongolia, Bangladesh, and Ethiopia.
